隨著視頻監控市場及技術的發展,網絡視頻監控技術已經成為主流。在網絡視頻監控傳輸部分,由于EPON技術的成熟和EPON系統點到多點的靈活組網優勢,在建設視頻監控系統時,使用EPON技術來實現視頻監控系統的前端接入成為選擇。
方案圖中為EPON系統在道路監控中的一種應用。道路監控項目中,各個監控點分布在一條直線上,采用傳統的光纖收發器需使用大量的光纖資源和機房建設成本,使用EPON系統只需一芯光纖即可實現快速組網,將前端的圖像傳輸到監控中心。方案采用非均分的1:2分光器進行節點式級聯鏈狀組網,在監控中心放置OLT設備,PON口接入光纖到達監控點后接入1:2的分光器,其中一個支纖接入ONU設備,另一根支纖接入光纖向下一個監控點傳輸,直到個監控點。
