施滅火，適用于撲救下列物質的火災：

A類火災：指可燃固體表面火災，如木、棉、麻、紙、橡膠、塑料等物質的火災;
Type A fire: refers to a fire on a combustible solid surface, such as wood, cotton, hemp, paper, rubber, plastics, etc;
B類火災：指液體或可熔化固體火災，如汽油、柴油、重油、潤滑油、動物油、植物油、有機溶劑、
石蠟等物質的火災;
Type B fire: refers to a liquid or molten solid fire, such as gasoline, diesel, heavy oil, lubricating oil, animal oil,
vegetable oil, organic solvent, paraffin, etc;
C類火災：指可燃氣體火災，如液化氣、天然氣及乙炔等氣體的火災;
Type C fire: refers to a combustible gas fire, such as liquefied gas, natural gas and acetylene gas fire;
帶電設備火災：指帶電物體燃燒的火災，如變電站、發電機房、泵房及電纜溝等帶電設備的火災。

不適用于撲救下列物質的火災：

在無空氣參與反應的條件下仍能發生氧化反應的化學物質與強氧化劑的火災，如硝化纖維、、
氧化氮、氟等;
A fire of chemicals and strong oxidizing agents, such as nitrocellulose, explosives, nitrogen oxides, fluorine,
etc. that can still occur in the absence of air;
活潑金屬及氫化物的火災，如鉀、鈉、鎂、鈦、鈾、钚、氫化鉀、氫化鈉等。
active metal and hydride fires such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, titanium, uranium, plutonium, potassium
hydride, sodium hydride, etc.
